Iranian cinema has produced some fantastic films. We can certainly now add A Separation to this list. It won an Academy Award for the best foreign film of last year. Perhaps, more importantly, this movie was also nominated for its exceptional screenplay! At a time when there is talk of war and bombings, what a great way to see the universality of art and the idiocy of "us vs them" mentality.
