Second Episode of SkA: The reality of Blackholes as shown in the movie "Interstellar"

by Salman Hameed

In this second episode of Science ka Adda, we look at the science depicted in the movie, "Interstellar". In particular, we focus on "Miller's planet" that is shown to be orbiting a supermassive blackhole. Do such blackholes exist in the universe? We look at the center of our own galaxy, Milky Way, as well as Centaurus A, a galaxy located 13 million light years away.
