You talk of religion's destructive power.
Should I remind your esteemed intellect that all the religious forces in the world combined, multiplied by hundred, are far less destructive to the world than a single, civilized, democratic, and educated nation of "good people" named USA, that not only owns thousands and thousands of nukes, (and chemical and biological weapons) but also uses these over non-combatant civilian populations whenever required. And yes it can also sacrifice millions of human lives whenever and wherever necessary in its attempt to spread its democratic and civilized values and freedom to other oppressed nations in the world.
Man you are genius.

P.S. You might be interested in the Charter for Compassion site, which aims to save (okay, improve) us all by proclaiming the value of compassion. This is a perfectly valid and reasonable goal, but the CfC people think they're going to bring it about by having World Religious Leaders teach us how to do it. Since the group was founded by religious historian Karen Armstrong it's nearly incredible that she believes this will work. Of all people the WRLs are the very least qualified to do this. After all, who's had a lock on the notion of compassion for 5000 years alredy? Where have they gotten us?

PS: I'd really like to follow your blog on Google Reader, but I don't see an RSS.Graycardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10250783516794207019noreply@blogger.com
